This is a beautiful anthem but as you say, little known. We sing it after Mass on Sundays now but few people know it. I sing it anyway, along with a few others, the sisters and the clergy/altar servers. "Et pro nobis Christum exora" is set in the best traditions of Gregorian chant - a vivid cry for help.
That’s wonderful! It’s the same here - our Schola, or the priest, will often sing it after Mass, but not everyone knows it. I don’t have it memorized myself, but I’m going to make a goal of doing so by the end of Lent!
