My son played the Mozart Requiem and Ave Verum Corpus at their dialogue concert last Sunday. It’s so beautifully played and sung by the Choral Group. Thank you for watching.

Although it was composed for Corpus Christi Mass, I wonder how many have thought to use it for Lent? You have made the case that it is undeniably appropriate for it. And it is just so beautiful and prayerful; why not use it wherever it might be appropriate?

Agreed! I credit my wonderful sacred music professor for first opening my eyes to the Lenten significance of the hymn, and hopefully many parishes recognize it as well.

Mozart's Ave Verum Corpus is a beautiful and moving version of this beautiful hymn. One of my favorite hymns to sing at Mass.

Absolutely beautiful. I was just listening to Lacramosa, and used a copyright free version in my latest video. Ave Verum is a beautiful hymn indeed, and thank you for putting up the English lyrics.
