Great article. I have the opposite experience regarding the priest. My was yours, young and celebrated daily mass on the tradition way, facing East. He want to bring back the knealer ( Railing). But it was turned down by the the modernists in charge. And to make things worse, he was moved. The new priest that was send to replace him, changed everything. No Paten, No Crusifix on the alter, and want to remove the kneaker.😩

I'm sorry to hear that. The bishop in my diocese prevented my priest from doing more, perhaps including ad orientem, but I guess my only benefit was living so far in the rural country it mostly escaped notice. What a sad time in the Church when priests and laity who long for Catholic tradition and reverence in the Mass are forced to endure Protestantized, modernist deformations. My hope is to someday attend a dedicated Latin Mass parish, though those are rare nowadays. Perhaps you can too.

I do have one TLM on Sundays @3PM ET, various priests come from other parishes to forfill it. No local priests want to do, due to no interest or lack of latin knowledge. I have feeling it eventualy will stop. The only church that still celebrating masses Orientum annd also in Latin is about 40 minutes from us, We try to go there as often as we can. Very sad indeed. But our Lady warned us about all this. Keep praying, The Holy Spirit Is holding the Ship Helms!🙏🕊
